W&M is a personal monogram created to celebrate the union of a couple through their marriage.
By merging the initials of two names, a form is created to portray unity and harmony between the individuals. The composition of the logo was created by combining these two initials into one continuous stroke. A package was designed to hold items that were gifted to the groom from his bride on the day of their marriage. Gold lines were incorporated to suggest the idea of eternity and presented as a balancing detail, applied on the inner part of the gift. Contrasting light strokes with contrasting modern typography next to bold typography relates to the characteristics of the newlyweds. The objective was to capture the delicacy and purity of a woman and the boldness and supportiveness of a man.
